Shannon Carter has been teaching special education at VJHS for 7 years. Previously, she taught in Mississippi for 10 years. She has a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is very passionate about working with young students with disabilities and helping them gain the skills they need to be successful. Special needs children have always held a special place in her heart. Ms. Carter believes that great educators learn and grow with their students and she is very thankful for the opportunity to help young minds develop and fourish.
