Tuesday, March 11, Students had plenty of time to complete their assignment in class. Those students that did not complete writing assignment in class are to complete assignment for homework. Any work not completed in class, will be assigned for homework.

Poetry Contest

Attention: Vidalia Junior High Students

2018-19 POETRY CONTEST

 Do you like to write? Are you an aspiring writer? Would you like to have your poem published in the Vidalia Junior High Yearbook?  If so, this is the contest for you!

We are in search of original poems that is worthy of being published in this year’s yearbook.  The winning poem will be featured in the yearbook for all to admire! All poems meeting criteria will also be featured in the school newspaper. 

The following requirements MUST be met to be considered for the contest:

  • The design must be typed and saved as a word document on a flash drive and printed on a 8 ½ x11 piece of white paper.
  • The poem must be your original poetry- not borrowed or plagiarized.
  • The poem must be about Vidalia Junior High School.
  • For your poem to be considered, everything must be spelled correctly on your final submission.
  • Include your name and grade(typed at the top of the page).
  • Have a catchy title!
  • Your poem may be any form of poetry-it does not have to rhyme.

2018-2019 Welcome and Reminders

Welcome to 7th grade! We are going to have an amazing year!
 
Reminders:
End of the 1st 9 weeks is October 11, 2018. Report Cards may be picked up on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 12:30-3:00 at VJH.
 
Don't forget $5 Activity Fees must be paid by October 11, 2018.
 
 We still have room in several clubs, so bring club fee, $5, and join a Tuesday or Wednesday Club!

Yearbook Cover Contest

2018-19 Yearbook  Cover Contest!!

Do you like to draw? Are you an aspiring artist? Would you like to have your drawing published on the cover of your Vidalia Junior High Yearbook?  If so, this is the contest for you!

We are in search of Artwork that is worthy of being on the front cover of this year’s yearbook.  The winning design will be featured on the front cover for all to admire and the winner will receive a free yearbook! All designs meeting criteria will be featured in the school newspaper.

 

The following requirements MUST be met to be considered for the contest:

  • The design must be submitted on either white 8 ½ x11 cardstock or a standard unlined 8 ½ x11 piece of white paper.
  • The cover design must be in FULL COLOR. The bolder the color, the better!
  • The design must be hand drawn and colored (colored pencils, crayons, markers, or paint).
  • The design must be completed VERTICALLY, portrait style.
  • It must include “Vidalia Junior High” and the year “2018-2019”.
  • It must include our theme, “The Norsemen”.
  • For your drawing to be considered, everything must be spelled correctly.
  • Your cover design should be inserted into a sheet protector.
  • Write your name and grade on an index card and attach with a paperclip to the cover design. DO NOT staple.

Ms. Sandrock's Homeroom Performs "Reindeer on Dat Beat"

Jakayla Green and Nickaloes Banks wrote the lyrics for "Reindeer on Dat Beat" Brent Hearn as Santa Claus
